The project encompasses some 3,000 square feet of retail space, 128,000 square feet dedicated to multifamily use (67 luxury condominiums on the top 17 floors), and 435,000 square feet of Class A office space, which is now entirely leased to Facebook. This deal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/sanfrancisco\/news\/2017\/09\/20\/facebook-sf-181-fremont-lease-jay-paul-fb.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reportedly<\/a> marks Frisco&#8217;s largest office lease since the 714,000-square-foot <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/sanfrancisco\/blog\/real-estate\/2014\/04\/salesforce-transbay-tower-boston-properties-hines.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Salesforce deal<\/a> in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Luxurious in seemingly every respect, the Heller Manus Architects-designed tower features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a state-of-the-art, sawtooth-pattern exoskeleton;<\/li>\n<li>floor-to-ceiling windows for light-abundant, column-free floor plates;<\/li>\n<li>a water recycling system, which captures, treats and reuses rainwater and greywater;<\/li>\n<li>bike storage and car parking available to commercial tenants;<\/li>\n<li>7th-floor sky-bridge connection to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialcafe.com\/blog\/lincoln-manager-ttc-san-francisco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Transbay Transit Center elevated park<\/a>, offering excellent connectivity to the entire Bay Area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>They Grow Out of Silicon Valley so Fast<\/h3>\n<p>Jamil Walker, a Facebook spokesman<em>,<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/technology\/article\/Facebook-sf-office-lease-181-fremont-12216096.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stated for SFGate<\/a> that &#8220;with this lease, we&#8217;ve obtained the space we need at 181 Fremont to support our growth.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_13112\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialcafe.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2017\/09\/YM_FB_menlo-park.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13112\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13112\" src=\"https:\/\/www.commercialcafe.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2017\/09\/YM_FB_menlo-park-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"Facebook HQ Campus in Menlo Park (Yardi Matrix)\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-13112\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Facebook HQ Campus in Menlo Park (Yardi Matrix)<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Employees from all over the Bay Area currently commute by car or company-run shuttle service to Facebook&#8217;s Menlo Park 20-building headquarters campus, which has already exceeded 1 million square feet and continues to expand. The new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialcafe.com\/office\/us\/ca\/san-francisco-county\/san-francisco\/yerba-buena\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yerba Buena office<\/a> location will surely ease a lot of commutes.<\/p>\n<p>Although it is not yet clear how many employees will be operating out of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialcafe.com\/commercial-property\/us\/ca\/san-francisco\/181-fremont\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">181 Fremont<\/a>, the space leased on floors 5 through 38 is estimated to accommodate up to 3,000 people.
