The iconic 47-story Miami Tower<\/a> in downtown Miami<\/a>, Fla., has recently added two new tenants to its roster.<\/p>\n

BDO USA, a branch of global accounting network BDO International, has recently signed a long-term, 22,386-square-foot lease on the 17th<\/sup> floor of the building. The company plans to use that space to consolidate its Brickell<\/a> and Coral Gables<\/a> offices under one roof.<\/p>\n

The second tenant to join the Miami Tower roster is Chartwell Law. The national law firm has signed a 9,500-square-foot lease and is set to move its current corporate base from the Southeast Financial Center<\/a> to the new office.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth transactions were complex in that timing for lease negotiations was paramount and each deal hinged on a vacating tenant releasing its space. We expeditiously worked with all parties to create a mutually beneficial outcome for both tenants and the landlord, eliminating downtime and vacancy of a full floor in the process,\u201d Christopher Dubberly, vice president at Transwestern, which manages the property, said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The landmark office skyscraper features a robust tenant roster consisting of 40 companies. The tower is especially popular among law firms, housing over 15 companies active in various fields of the legal industry, Yardi Matrix<\/em><\/a> data reveals. Tenants include the Miami Office Districts, the American Arbitration Association, the Miami Super Bowl Host Committee, and the Florida Justice Institute.<\/p>\n

A fixture on Miami\u2019s skyline, the high-rise at 100 South East 2nd St. is\u00a0the\u00a0eighth-tallest building in the city. Built in 1987, the 619,093-square-foot Class A+ skyscraper was completely renovated in 2012 and features a conference facility, a fitness center, a lounge, and a rooftop terrace. According to Yardi Matrix, the tower includes 20,000 square feet of first-floor retail, while the office space spreads across floors 11 through 47. The first 10 floors are occupied by a separately owned, separately operated parking garage; the building also includes 619 independently owned parking spaces.<\/p>\n

Strategically located in the heart of the city, Miami Tower provides easy access to six public transportation stations, including an on-site Metromover station, and is conveniently located nearby many restaurants and hotels. Over the years, the building bore various name<\/p>\n
