Empire State Realty Trust (ESRT) has announced the signing of a new tenant at its Midtown Manhattan<\/a> property at 111 W. 33rd St.<\/a><\/p>\n

FOJP Service Corp., a company providing comprehensive insurance and risk management to a group of major healthcare facilities like hospitals, long-term care centers and social service agencies, will take over the full eighth floor of the Class A office building to house its new headquarters. The company will occupy a total of 41,836 square feet of Chelsea office space<\/a>, for an asking rent of $66 per square foot, according to The Real Deal<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

“We’ve attracted a great roster of tenants at 111 West 33rd<\/sup>\u00a0Street<\/a>,”\u00a0Thomas Durels<\/span>, executive vice president of real\u00a0estate\u00a0for ESRT, said in a statement. “Fully modernized with a new lobby and building entrances, 111 West 33rd Street offers fantastic light, efficient floor plates and great access to mass transportation.”<\/p>\n

Located at Herald Square and Greeley Square in Chelsea, right between 6th and 7th avenues, the 26-story, 717,076-square-foot building at 111 W. 33rd St. was completed in 1954 and incorporates 89,529 square feet of retail. Major tenants include MSG, Regus, ClearView Healthcare Partners, as well as retailers such as Sephora, Target, Nespresso<\/a>, Macy’s and Foot Locker, according to Yardi Matrix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A Cushman & Wakefield team consisting of Mark Weiss, Robert Baraf, Gary Ceder and Jared Thal represented FOJP Service Corp. in the lease negotiations, while ESRT was represented by its own Keith Cody, alongside Scott Klau, Erik Harris and Neil Rubin of Newmark Knight Frank.<\/p>\n
