Industrious is on a roll. After recently signing two spaces at 135 West 50th Street<\/a> and another at Carnegie Hall Tower<\/a> in Manhattan, the busy flexible workspace provider just announced its first coworking space in downtown Phoenix. Slated to open this fall, the new location encompasses roughly 30,000 square feet spread across the 14th and 15th floors of The Monroe.<\/p>\n

The space is situated in an 18-story building located at 111 Monroe Street. Completed in 1964, the high-rise has undergone several upgrades and now encompasses 262,000 square feet of Class A commercial space. Offering relatively small floor plates of about 15,000 square feet, the property is highly suitable for a wide variety of smaller companies seeking a downtown presence. Spec suites range from 1,500 to 14,000 square feet. Tenant amenities at The Monroe<\/a> include bicycle storage, a fitness center, a conference and training facility, a 2nd floor tenant lounge that opens to 1st Ave, and a Hidden Track caf\u00e9 and coffee shop. The tenant roster features integrated benefits network startup Solera Health, meal delivery service Freshly, and software company Integrate.<\/p>\n

Phoenix-based landlord of The Monroe, ViaWest Group is looking forward to its partnership with Industrious<\/a>. Danny Plapp, director of leasing for ViaWest, said, \u201cIt brings a national presence to recruit out-of-state businesses to office in downtown Phoenix<\/a> and allows local, high-growth tenants the opportunity to thrive in an experience-driven atmosphere while they build their businesses and attract local talent. The Monroe is going through a complete overhaul of the lobby that will create a sense of community and collaboration for its tenants. By the end of this year, downtown will finally have that next generation of lifestyle experience office environment that tenants need to be successful in today\u2019s dramatically changing office climate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Industrious President, Justin Stewart, explained the company\u2019s choice of location. \u201cIndustrious has witnessed strong traction across greater Phoenix and is excited to be expanding into city proper'” he said. “Our existing members have been asking for a downtown location since we opened up our first Scottsdale location; there is a certain prestige that comes with having that address.\u00a0 That, coupled with the fact that Phoenix has a healthy, growing economy, makes Industrious proud to be adding a location here, and we look forward to serving our newest members.\u201d<\/p>\n
