Whitten Morris\u00a0and\u00a0Peter Riguardi\u00a0of JLL represented the landlord (Rubenstein Partners), while Sam Seiler\u00a0and\u00a0Joe Sipala, also of JLL, negotiated on behalf of Altana.<\/p>\n<p>The deal allows the company to shift its workforce from its current location at 134 N. Fourth St. to the eight-story building owned by Rubenstein Partners. Altana\u2019s expansion into its new headquarters comes on the heels of a recent $100 million Series B investment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the primary cultivator of New York\u2019s innovation economy, Williamsburg provides a vibrant and creative community for up-and-coming technology companies looking to plant their corporate flag surrounded by various like-minded and forward-looking businesses,\u201d said Rubenstein\u2019s\u00a0Joe Zuber.<\/p>\n<p>Since the building\u2019s completion in 2019, Rubenstein \u2014 which owns the 500,000-square-foot, mixed-use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialcafe.com\/office\/us\/ny\/brooklyn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">office building in Brooklyn<\/a> in a joint venture with\u00a0Heritage Equity Partners \u2014\u00a0has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/newyork\/news\/2022\/11\/04\/altana-grabs-williamsburg-office-space.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">making slow progress in its efforts to lease the space<\/a>. Most recently, Tel Aviv-based flex space operator Mindspace inked a deal for 34,000 square feet, joining the likes of Amazon Music and\u00a0streetwear brand\u00a0Kith.<\/p>\n<p>According to the property\u2019s website, 25 Kent boasts roughly 20,000 square feet of underground retail, as well as 78,000 square feet of industrial \u201cmakerspace\u201d designed with creative professionals in mind. Additionally, the property paid great attention to the issue of parking, providing tenants with 275 car spaces and 150 spots for bikes. The premises is also equipped with both Tesla and universal charging stations for those commuting to the office via an electric car.<\/p>\n<p>Occupying an entire block, 25 Kent is located just across from Bushwick Inlet Park, the city\u2019s newest waterfront park. Meanwhile, for those who want to take a breath of fresh air (but don\u2019t want to leave the premises), the building provides private, as well as shared terraces, in addition to a massive outdoor
