Business advisory and investment banking firm Chesapeake Corporate Advisors agreed to a 5,283-square-foot lease at 1001 Fleet Street, in Baltimore\u2019s Harbor East neighborhood.\u00a0The nine-story, 270,000-square-foot mixed-use property managed by Harbor East Management Group features roughly 163,000 of Class A Baltimore office space<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Joe Bradley, Senior Vice President, and Principal for\u00a0MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services\u00a0brokered the deal on behalf of the tenant, while Brian Wyatt\u00a0of\u00a0Cushman & Wakefield\u00a0represented\u00a0the Harbor East Management during the negotiations. Office asking rents in the neighborhood average about $35 per square foot.<\/p>\n

It is anticipated that Chesapeake Corporate Advisors will move its operations and more than 20 of its employees from the current premises at Brewer\u2019s Hill \u2013 located at 3600 O\u2019Donnell Street\u00a0\u2013 to\u00a0their new location by December. The owner of 1001 Fleet is Beatty Development Group \u2013 an affiliate of\u00a0Harbor East Management Group. The building was completed in 2001.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarbor East offers unparalleled on-site and walkable amenities and is located in a high-energy section of Baltimore City,\u201d\u00a0Joe Bradley, senior vice president and principal of MacKenzie, told Commercial Observer. \u201cWe are seeing an increasing number of companies placing a greater importance on finding buildings that match its corporate image and provide another advantage to recruit and retain talent.\u201d<\/p>\n
