Mayor Muriel Bowser, D.C. Councilmember Jack Evans and Akridge president &amp; CEO Matt Klein attended the groundbreaking event on March 31<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>The former YMCA building at 1711 Rhode Island Ave. will feature four sides of floor-to-ceiling glass and a plethora of amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, a landscaped rooftop terrace, and conference facilities on either the penthouse level or the ground floor. Conveniently located in the city\u2019s Central Business District, at the heart of the Washington, D.C., office market,\u00a0the property redubbed 1701 Rhode Island Ave. offers easy access to some of the most popular shopping and entertainment destinations in the area.
