Los Angeles-based commercial real estate giant CBRE recently announced that it will be slightly shifting its suburban Philadelphia, Pa. office<\/a> location.<\/p>\n

The new Philadelphia state-of-the-art offices will be relocated from the Chesterbrook Corporate Center to 555 East Lancaster Ave<\/a>, in Radnor, near Wayne, Pa<\/a>. CBRE’s latest Workplace360 will occupy 25,735 square feet of the building’s 241,000 total rentable surface starting February 2018.<\/p>\n

The company has been hard at work promoting and implementing its smart building innovative office space concept, Workplace360. In early March, CBRE announced the opening of a Smart Building Client Experience Center located outside Milwaukee, Wis.<\/a>, in the Gateway West Commerce Center, to demonstrate innovative building technology solutions.<\/p>\n

The 34,000-square-foot, Class A Milwaukee office building has been designed, built, and managed as a showcase headquarters of CBRE|ESI. The property is one of few buildings in the world to have earned a Triple LEED Platinum rating.<\/p>\n

Smart office capabilities include tracking an occupant from arrival on site to departure, with real-time adjusting of air quality, temperature, light, audio, and visual capabilities based on movement throughout the environment. CBRE|ESI employs an advanced integration and analytics platform to securely gather and analyze data from sensors, various building systems, meters, and other devices. The facility also demonstrates tangible results of cost reduction and environmental stewardship that clients can achieve. The center itself performed 41% more efficiently than design models had projected.\u00a0 It also eliminated 223 tons of CO2 (equivalent of consuming 25,000 gallons of gasoline) in the building\u2019s first year of occupancy.<\/p>\n

Bill Concannon, CEO of CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions stated that “the smart building process, expertise, and technology within CBRE|ESI create tremendous value for both individual facilities and global portfolios. In keeping with the company’s mission statement “smarter buildings – smarter workplaces,” the Philadelphia move seeks to create an office environment that fosters collaboration and improves productivity, which will, in turn, translate to better services to clients.<\/p>\n

Workplace360<\/a> is CBRE\u2019s leading-edge approach to workplace strategy designed to promote flexibility, mobility and productivity through technology-enabled, 100% free-address and paperless offices. The initiative incorporates highly flexible technology that addresses an employee\u2019s changing needs throughout the day. A free-address and paperless office space with no assigned workstations features a variety of work settings, and a balance of both collaborative and private spaces from which employees can select depending on their project needs.<\/p>\n

Enhanced technology to support this mobile way of working is a core element of every Workplace360 office. To date, CBRE has opened more than 35 such offices around the world.<\/p>\n
