Shasta Marina at Packers Bay

Shasta Lake, the state’s largest man-made reservoir, is considered the house boating capital of California. Location by car is only 2 miles from I-5, all paved. The marina enjoys a strategic location as the hub on the lake, offering easy access to all arms of the lake. It is also adjacent to a major public launch ramp, bringing strong fuel and retail income to the marina. Gas, ice, groceries, beer, wine, fishing tackle, souvenirs and apparel can be purchased seven days a week, year-round.Shasta Marina at Packers Bay is a premier vacation houseboat rental facility in the region. Ownership has been in the marina business for 23 years. They started on the O’Brien Inlet as Shasta Marina Resort in 1996. Then in 2015 they purchased Packers Bay Marina and have combined the two businesses. Ownership moved everything from O’Brien Inlet to Packers Bay, ultimately creating what is now known as Shasta Marina at Packers Bay. This involved removing the old Packers Bay Marina from the O’Brien Inlet location, and disposing of all the structures and docks. Over the past few years, the owners have made intensive facility upgrades and renovations, building a new dock system, facility infrastructure, as well as new floating and fixed buildings.
