Michael J. Fox Foundation Moves Headquarters to RXR-Owned Building

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) is preparing for a move to a new location in Midtown Manhattan, N.Y. The non-profit will occupy 68,958 square feet of office space at 530 Fifth Ave. — a 26-story office tower jointly owned by RXR and Sagehall since 2014.

The tenant was represented by Savills’ Kirill Azovtsev, Shay Bolton, and Meghan Marchini, while CBRE’s Paul Amrich, Neil King, Meghan Allen and Brooke Dewing negotiated on behalf of the landlords. While information about pricing has not been disclosed, asking rent at 530 Fifth Ave. was in the $80-per-square-foot region in January 2025.

“Savills was pleased to structure an economical solution that delivers meaningful value while aligning with the foundation’s commitment to responsible resource stewardship,” Bolton said. “The result is a space that supports their operations and positions them for continued impact.”

The relocation will result in a reduction of the foundation’s overall footprint as MJFF will leave behind its current, 86,000-square-foot Manhattan office space at 111 W. 33rd St., which it had occupied since 2016.

“MJFF’s occupancy goals aligned perfectly with the repositioning of 530 Fifth Ave., with both Sagehall and RXR demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting the foundation’s mission,” Amrich said.

Amenities at 530 Fifth Ave. — which has recently been subject to a $70 million investment by its joint ownership — include a conference center; a new coffee shop; health and fitness programs; and coworking spaces. The full block between West 44th and West 45th streets is home to the likes of flex space operator Convene, the New York City Police Foundation, solar energy company Cyprus Creek Renewables and investment firm Arbiter Partners Capital Management.
