KKR Inks Office Lease in Boston at International Place
PGIM and The Chiofaro Company announced the recent signing of a new tenant at International Place in Boston as the partnership nears completion of the $100 million reinvestment in its flagship, 1.8-million-square-foot office property.
Global investment firm KKR has inked a 15-year lease to occupy 132,529 square feet of top-tier Boston office space at Two International Place. Looking to accommodate its growth in Boston and expand its U.S. footprint, the firm will relocate to the newly leased office space.
“We are excited to establish our new Boston office at International Place and intend to grow this location over time to help us deliver on the firm’s future goals,” said Ryan Stork, chief operating officer of KKR. “We see great potential for Boston to support the broader firm like our offices in Gurugram and Dublin. Our investment in Boston is consistent with our desire to have a U.S.-based location in a similar vein.”
There are currently more than 300 KKR employees based in the Boston area who primarily serve the firm’s insurance business. The relocation to International Place is expected to bolster the firm’s capabilities across key strategic areas, support its global operations, and accommodate future growth.
“As we’ve outgrown our existing space, this strategic move downtown positions us to invest in local talent and expand our operating platform to support our U.S. and global operations,” added Burke Malek, head of KKR’s Boston office. “The combination of a top-tier office space with world-class amenities and unmatched location made this the ideal choice for our growing team.”
International Place has been going through a transformative project intended to enhance the tenant experience and further cement the property’s standing as one of the most desirable destinations in the region. Redevelopment work included a complete transformation of the ground-level lobbies and entrances, as well as the Aries Club — a state-of-the-art amenity center.

The International Place towers incorporate more than 1.8 million square feet of rentable office space in downtown Boston.
Spanning 25,000 square feet, the Aries Club offers an array of exclusive features, including:
- Work lounge and breakout collaboration spaces
- Board room with pre-function entertainment area
- Event programming to support career development and networking
- Multipurpose room that can seat more than 100 attendees
- Flexible and immersive tech and podcast rooms
- Mother’s room, prayer room, and wellness room
- Catering kitchen and light snacks and refreshments
- A bar and outdoor terrace
The reimagined ground floor seeks to be an experience-driven social hub that offers an enhanced entry experience, an activated interior public space, and an expansion of existing retail and dining segment.
Located steps away from one of the most active stretches of the Rose Kennedy Greenway, the property places tenants across the street from the city’s downtown waterfront and within easy reach of a rich selection of programming, gardens, public art, dining, retail, hospitality, and more.
