Brightleaf Plaza

In the heart of the Smithfield Business District on N Brightleaf Blvd/US 301 Hwy.This center is located on the heavily trafficked N Brightleaf Blvd in Smithfield in the heart of the business district between Market Street and Durwood Stephenson Parkway. A renovation and expansion that began April 2023 is complete. 3,000 square feet was added to the existing 7,500 square foot building along with refacing the existing building to match. A second 5,684 square foot building was constructed adjacent to but set back from the extended existing building. Enterprise Rent-A-Car relocated from a now demolished stand alone building that was in front of the new building to the Waddle Dr End Cap. Batteries Plus opened in February 2025 in the expansion end cap. The delivery of this project provides much needed space for retail and small office demand in Smithfield in response to Johnston County's continuing growth trend.
