San Francisco‘s Transbay Joint Powers Authority has selected Lincoln Property Co. as the asset manager of the multibillion Transbay Transit Center that is still under construction at 200 Folsom Street, in Yerba Buena.

Following a competitive request for proposal (RFP) process, Lincoln was tapped to oversee leasing of the over 100,000 square feet of retail space to be constructed in the first phase, programming and management of the 5.4-acre rooftop park, as well as marketing and branding for the property. The team that Lincoln will be leading has members who have extensive experience in all aspects of the project.

Colliers International Group Inc. will manage the retail leasing. Alan Collenette, executive managing director with Colliers, said: “It goes without saying that we have put together a landmark team for a landmark project. Our relationship with Lincoln Property Co. has covered every type of project in every market sector in every part of the nation, extending back over a period of a decade or more.” The leasing team will be led by Executive VP Julie Taylor, joined by Senior VP Erika Elliott and VP Ann Natunewicz.

Biederman Redevelopment Ventures (BRV) will manage and curate programming for the rooftop park. BRV President Dan Biederman stated: “Our vision of the rooftop park at Transbay Transit Center is an elevated ‘town square’ that offers visitor experiences unlike any other public space in San Francisco. We aim to make the park an asset for the entire downtown and South of Market community, as well as a destination for people throughout the Bay Area.”

Lincoln VP Stephen Lindgren stated: “The Transbay Transit Center is one of the best opportunities for retail and public space that we’ve seen in the entire San Francisco area. We’re excited and ready to carry out the plan to bring in world-class tenants and curated public open space to what will certainly be one of the most cutting-edge, well-executed modern transit hubs in the country.”
