Courier Health Joins Tenant Roster at 135 Madison Ave.
Software company Courier Health, Inc. recently signed a new office lease in the Plaza District. The company will occupy more than 15,000 square feet of Manhattan office space — the entire third floor of the mid-rise at 135 Madison Ave.
With a stated mission to improve the patient experience for millions living with chronic conditions or rare diseases, Courier Health develops and delivers some of the fastest-growing patient experience solutions for the life sciences industry. Backed by investors including Norwest Venture Partners and Work-Bench, the company has been growing and is in need of a larger space, which led to its relocation to 135 Madison from its previous space at 115 E. 23rd St.
Max Koppel, director of leasing at Koeppel Rosen, which handles leasing and management at the property, represented the landlord, while Jacob Wolkenfeld of Norman Bobrow & Co., Inc. worked on behalf of Courier Health.
“We welcome Courier Health to 135 Madison Avenue,” Koeppel said. “The vibrant neighborhood and building amenities are ideal for a growing tech firm. The technology company was looking for a move-in ready space proximate to transit to accommodate its growing operations.”
According to statements released by Koeppel Rosen regarding the signing of this lease, the roster of tenants currently at 135 Madison Ave. include coworking space provider WeWork and high-end luxury lighting design company FLOS, while the entire ninth floor and a portion of the 13th floor remain available for lease. Luxury workspace provider Blender Workspace hosts additional on-site event space and rentable office spaces.
Originally completed in 1911 following designs by Terry & Tench Company, the property at 135 Madison Ave. incorporates more than 160,000 square feet of rentable New York City office space across 13 stories. The building includes retail on the first floor; a recently renovated and attended lobby; controlled access; several freight and passenger elevators; and floor plates spanning more than 14,000 square feet.
Located between 31st and 32nd streets, 135 Madison is easily accessible via public transportation, such as the 33rd Street PATH and subway stations; Citi Bike docks; and several bus routes along Madison Avenue. The property location also places tenants within easy reach of numerous retail, dining, entertainment, leisure, and hospitality options.
