McKinney Corporate Center I in McKinney, Texas, recently announced the addition of two new medical office tenants that leased roughly 35,000 square feet of suburban Dallas office space at the property.
A notable McKinney-based child and family education and advocacy group will relocate its headquarters to the McKinney Corporate Center I building in the fall. The Kid Connection — an organization that’s dedicated to empowering and supporting the needs of youth and their families — has leased roughly 22,000 square feet at the property.
Additionally, a new vascular medical treatment center will open its first branch in McKinney during the coming months. Stridecare saw an unmet health care need in the Dallas-Fort Worth submarket and embarked on a redevelopment of a vacant, 13,147-square-foot space on the first floor of the corporate center. The space will be home to Stridecare’s new ambulatory surgical center, which will offer both surgical and clinical services conveniently located near the building’s lobby. Stridecare will also have a dedicated, covered entrance on the building’s north side, featuring a porte cochere.
“We are pleased to mark such unique momentum at McKinney Corporate Center I,” said Jay L. Post, managing partner of Orangestar Properties Advisers and Investors. “Welcoming and creating a great workplace for dynamic new corporate, medical, and landmark community tenants is part of our mission for our investors, current tenants, and the McKinney community. Our ability to deliver for them as corporate partners will be enhanced by the upcoming refreshed building complete with a more updated, modern curb appeal.”
In March, the McKinney Corporate Center I building received approval from the Craig Ranch Community Association for a renovation of the building’s façade. The project, exceeding $1 million, will begin construction this summer and is part of a building update campaign that began with lobby furniture and design updates; landscaping updates; and corridor painting.
