New Heights Industrial Park in in Hagerstown, Md., secured two new tenants at the 900,000-square-foot property owned by Bluestone Group and The Langer Company.

Tomu — a prefabricated modular building systems startup — inked a lease for 15,000 square feet of industrial space, while Pycube — a Sterling, Va.-based company that provides asset management and asset tracking for the health care sector — agreed to occupy 43,750 square feet at the property.

Joel Kreider and Ed Skonecki of Lee & Associates brokered the deal on behalf of the landlord. The names of the tenants’ representatives were not released.

Following the closing of these deals, the property located at 18450 Showalter Road is now 82% leased.

“The owners of New Heights Industrial Park have invested significant resources in its vision to deliver an innovative business community that meets the diverse and long-term real estate needs of companies in a wide variety of industry sectors,” Kreider said. “Leasing activity remains robust as companies remain interested in the unique advantages provided by this project.”

Previously, New Heights Industrial Park (which is located near the Hagerstown Regional Airport) was used by Fairchild Aircraft Manufacturing to build aircraft during World War II.

Now, Tomu — which specializes in designing and manufacturing hotel guest rooms and rental properties — will take full advantage of the property’s dock-high doors and ceiling height of up to 50 feet to store its products. The warehouse also offers free parking.

“Companies continue to gravitate to New Heights Industrial Park in search of highly flexible and open-space work environments, attractive leasing rates and access to a fertile labor market to support its operations,” Kreider told Commercial Observer. “The greater Hagerstown and Washington County region is attractive to those in search of a lower-density geographic area, reduced housing prices and a higher quality of life, while also remaining close to major metropolitan areas.”
