Mountain View, CA Commercial Real Estate Market Overview
As one of the most vibrant tech centers in the Silicon Valley area, Mountain View, Calif., is most famous as the site of Google’s 3-million-square-foot headquarters, dubbed the Googleplex.
The tech industry has been huge in Mountain View since the 1950s, with Silicon Valley’s first semiconductor companies. Besides Google, the high-tech industry has also attracted other world-class tenants — such as the Mozilla Foundation and software company Intuit — to set up their headquarters here. The city also hosts large operations from Microsoft, Amazon and Samsung.
Directly adjacent to Mountain View are other tech centers, such as Sunnyvale, Palo Alto and Los Altos, and the city’s ideal location between San Francisco and San Jose — on top of the strong high-tech industry — makes it a competitive market for higher-end commercial real estate.
